PODCASTS
I created this podcast to highlight an unusual class on Westminster College’s campus. I wanted to tell the story of a professor who was incorporating role-playing games into her classes to help teach people history.
I recorded parts of the class — to set the mood and bring listeners into the classroom environment. I also interviewed the professor. I asked her to explain why she had decided to host the games and if she thought they were beneficial to her students learning.
Using Adobe Audition, I edited the audio material together into a single, cohesive narrative. The finished podcast was published online on by The Forum, Westminster College’s student news organization, and is hosted on Soundcloud. The podcast was also shared on social media. It did well for a podcast on The Forum’s Facebook page — reaching 389 people and had 40 engagements, three shares and 158 views.
