EVENT ORGANIZING

I lead a team of student fellows to plan and manage events for the Office of Global Peace and Spirituality at Westminster College.

To plan office programming, my colleagues and I collaborated with internal and external partners to organize several events over the course of the year. Our projects included three guest lectures, four community discussions, weekly after-school programs for middle schoolers and seven days of activities for Respect Week on campus. These events were too large for one person to execute by themselves, so teamwork was essential for their success.

As part of a team, I was required to be clear and prompt in my communication. An important part of my job was to convey logistical information in a timely manner. I also learned how to resolve conflict among my fellow staffers, as well as between the office and outside partners.
