EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING

I gained experience teaching and developing curriculum as the Editor-in-Chief of The Forum, Westminster College’s student news organization. I led a team of six student editors and 15 student writers to produce online and print content.

In the classroom, I ran group workshops to develop specific skills and worked with individual students to improve their written, audio, and visual reporting. Additionally, I developed a schedule and outline for the course and reviewed and edit all content before publication. In total, I oversaw the publication of eight print issues of the paper with 1000 copies each, 40 podcasts and videos, and over 200 written articles.

Under my leadership, The Forum also increased engagement among our online audience, with a 10% increase in Facebook followers and 5% increase in Facebook likes. By the end of the year, we had exceeded our goal of reaching over 1000 followers and page likes on Facebook as well as growing our Instagram followers.
